Mom is the one handling all our stupid tantrums since forever. So, she deserves all the happiness in the world. With Mother’s Day just around the corner, her day is finally coming.
All good, but I get it, giving them a good present is a hell of a task. I mean store-bought gifts are so expensive and hardly personal. Here, DIY gifts come to rescue; cheap and personal ( sounds perfect?).
A few DIYs that will win your mum’s heart. After all, the day is all about pampering her!
1. DIY Mini polaroid magnets:
My mom just loves taking out those bulky photo albums and looking at our childhood pictures. Sounds like something your mom does? Well, personalised fridge magnets are perfect to put around the house.
2.DIY Linen spray:
Make her linen sprays with her favourite essential oils for a calming sleep ( she needs it right? )
3.DIY body scrubs and butters:
Mum’s often don’t time for all those lavish skincare routines. DIY body scrubs and butters can be so easily made and when you give her, I am sure she’ll love using it.
Pro tip: Store it a good mason jar and add a pretty tag to it.
4. A Hand Written Letter:
You might be thinking why a handwritten one. Printed notes are hardly heartfelt and you often can’t do the emo talks directly because they get too sentimental. So, handwritten letters are perfect.
P.S: She will keep it for years.
5.Mani & Pedi in a Jar:
She deserves all the pampering, after all, she is the one taking care of us all the time. You can add some toe spacers, foot and hand creams, paints or anything else you like. Light some candles and play her favourite music along with it.
6. Picture Coasters:
DIY picture coasters are so cute and perfect to show all your favourite memories together plus so easy to make. Stack them together, wrap a ribbon and a nice tag. Voila! You can see your mom smiling.
7. Make her favourite meal:
It’s also a DIY activity and perhaps, it might be your mom’s favourite. Cook her a meal, talk and do your favourite stuff together.
8. Anxiety Roller:
Essential oils are perfect for all the anxiety and tension they take. Make these anxiety rollers for calming her when she panics again.
9. Tin Jar Plants:
Take an old tin jar and paint it, plant her favourite flower and put a beautiful tag ( they are my favourite). Your mum will remember you every time she looks at the plant.
10. DIY Picture Lamps:
Print all your mum’s favourite pictures in black and white, like loads of them and turn it into a picture lamp. She will love you even more after this.
11. Headache bath bombs and salts:
Let’s admit, you and I, both give our mums headache. These bath bombs and salts with soothe her a lot. It’s the least we can do.
12. Map Coasters:
These coasters are perfect if you are not the cliche type. Mark the location of all your favourite trips together to make it personal.
These were a few ideas that I loved or they made the most sense to me. I hope you got the perfect gift for your mum now.
Tell me which one’s your favourite.
Stay tuned for more!
